2008 status:

Project T10M was canceled in 1996.
Five Su-35 in Russkiye Vityazi aerobatics team (unused).
Rest of prototypes in hands of Sukhoi Design Bureau:
2008: T10M-10 (710) used as active testbed...
2010: T10M-8 (708) used as flying testbed in T50-1 program...

2011 status:

Probably project is abandoned, replaced by T10M2 (Su-27BM, Su-35 and serial Su-35S for Russian Air Force).
T10M-8 (708) and T10M-10 (710) used as active testbeds.

Have early type tailboom, early fins with demounted antiflutter counterweights, added canard foreplanes. Not full equipped with electronic, used for tests of camouflage scheme.

T10M-2 2nd prototype 01.1989 702 Was derived from a production Su-27, in OKB Sukhoi. Standard camouflage prepared for Su-27M.
T10M-3 1st preproduction 04.1992 703

First of six preproduction built at KnAAPO, serial number 10-01. Standard camouflage.
Since 1993 new camouflage. Well known from air shows as Su-35 - it's a designation assigned to export version of the Su-27M. Aircraft was used by Sukhoi OKB until 2003, when was handed to Russkiye Vityazi, repainted and renumbered to 1.

T10M-5 3rd prototype 1992 705

Was derived from a production Su-27, in OKB Sukhoi. Tops of tail fins have the same shape as ordinary Su-27. To test new avionics. Standard camouflage.

Was derived from a production Su-27 (serial number 24-01), in OKB Sukhoi. Tops of tail fins have the same shape as ordinary Su-27. To test new avionics. Standard camouflage.

T10M-7 5th prototype 1992 707 Was derived from a production Su-27, in OKB Sukhoi. Tops of tail fins have the same shape as ordinary Su-27. To test new avionics. Standard camouflage.
T10M-8 2nd preproduction 1992 708 Serial number 10-02. Produced at KnAAPO. Standard camouflage.

Serial number 11-01. Standard camouflage. Aircraft was believed as pattern for serial production of Su-35, never realised.
Since 1993 new camouflage. Well known from air shows.

T10M-10 4th preproduction ? 710

Serial number 11-02. Produced at KnAAPO. Standard camouflage. Still used by Sukhoi Design Bureau as testbed: 03.2004-2006 were tested firsts engines 117S (AL-41F1A) produced by NPO Saturn, for Su-35 (Su-27BM) and future 5th generation fighter T-50 (PAK FA, I-21).

T10M-11 5th preproduction 1993 711

Serial number 11-03. Produced at KnAAPO. Standard camouflage.

Rebuilt to 1st prototype (demonstrator) of Su-35 - export version of the Su-27M with new painting; widely known from many air shows. <

>In 1996 was withdrawed from programme Su-27M and converted to experimental supermanoevreable fighter Su-37 with TVC engines AL-31FU, later removed and replaced by regular AL-31F. Destroyed in crash 12.2002.

T10M-12 6th preproduction 1993 712

Produced at KnAAPO. Standard camouflage.

In 1996 rebuilt to 2nd prototype of Su-37. Engines AL-31FU with thrust vectoring control and radar N011M from NIIP get in year 1996. Only one photo known! Aircraft was used by Sukhoi OKB as testbed until 2003, when was handed to Russkiye Vityazi, repainted and renumbered to 2.

Only three serial Su-27M (unoficially still called Su-35, even are not for export) were built on base of the T10M-9 and delivered to Russian air force. Since 1996 tested in Akhtubinsk air range (929th Main Flight Testing Center). Since 2000 aircraft 88 was displayed on air shows.

In 07.2003 all were transfered to aerobatic group Russkiye Vityazi, where were repainted in 'knights' colors and gets number 3, 4 and 5, but are not used for public shows.
